Email Approved Sender

We need to make sure that announcement emails aren’t filtered out by school spam filters.

Hackley Clubz sends club announcement emails from announcements@hackleyclubz.org. To make sure these reach students reliably, please add that address to a list of approved senders:

  1. In the Admin console, go to Apps → Google Workspace → Gmail → Spam, Phishing and Malware.
  2. Create an address list containing announcements@hackleyclubz.org.
  3. Add a spam bypass rule for the students.hackleyschool.org and hackleyschool.org organizational units that says “bypass spam filters for messages from these approved senders.”

That’s all Hackley Clubz needs — no accounts, no credentials, and no administrative access of any kind.

What students receive

Recipients see a normal email from “{Club Name} via Hackley Clubz” <announcements@hackleyclubz.org> containing the announcement and a link back to the club’s Announcements page. Replies go to the club leader who sent it — never to the whole club. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and members control their own notification preferences per club in the app.

The domain hackleyclubz.org publishes SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records, and mail is delivered through Amazon SES — the approved-senders rule is belt-and- suspenders on top of that authentication.
