iOS Development
The iOS app is a native Swift app that talks to the PHP web server as its
API. The code lives in the ios/ folder of the main repository.
Guidelines
- Use Xcode. Install it free from the Mac App Store (it’s a big
download — start it early). Open the project by double-clicking
ios/HackleyClubz/HackleyClubz.xcodeproj. - Run your changes in the Simulator. In Xcode, pick an iPhone from the
device menu at the top and press the ▶ Run button. There is also a
SETUP.mdfile inios/HackleyClubz/with project-specific setup notes — read it before your first build. - Test your changes before committing. Build the app, tap through the screens you touched, and make sure nothing is broken. Never commit code you haven’t seen working in the Simulator.
- Same branch rules as the web app: work on
dev, pull before you start, and never commit keys or other secrets.
